For Researchers

With the establishment of the nationwide registry for monozygotic and dizygotic twins, GERTRUD (German Twin Registry under Development), in 2022, the foundation was laid for the standardized registration of twins, modeled after international registries such as those in Sweden, Australia, and the United Kingdom. This registry enables researchers to contact twin pairs in a regulated and secure manner for the purpose of conducting scientific studies.
